I learned something new today.
BTW, could you help me out - what is "yarrow" in German? I keep running into yarrow these days.
The flowers in the painting are Echinacea - according to
I choose the title "Madder Madness" because I used all the madders in my paint box: Rose Madder Genuine, Deep Madder, Purple Madder, Brown Madder and maybe one or two others, I can't remember.
The German word for Yarrow is Schafgarbe.

Madder is my all time favourite pigment (in all its shadings)
