Part 3 - running for cover
Again only the sky done on location, just a few scribbled lines for the rest, no time for anything else.
Then the wind picked up, I stuffed everything in my satchel and RAN!!
My house is about 500 meters past the wood you see on the right. I'd about made it to the garden gate when the deluge struck.
Take it from me, folks: plein-air is overrated! .... Or else I'm too old for stuff like this.

Hope to also paint this scene one day...your skies are great. It's good when you don't fuss and overwork. I'm sometimes amazed how a quick watercolour sketch can look much better than a carefully painted one. Love this series...
