A thief in Paris planned to steal some paintings from the Louvre.
After careful planning, he got past security, stole the paintings, and made it safely to his van.
However, he was captured only two blocks away when his van ran out of gas.
When asked how he could mastermind such a crime and then make such an obvious error, he replied:
"Monsieur, that is the reason I stole the paintings; I had no Monet to buy Degas to make the Van Gogh!"
Now let's see if you have De Gaulle to tell this one to your friends!
I just thought I'd post it here because I have nothing Toulouse....

What a nice surprise!
Good heavens! I just realized that I made it to the DA frontpage again - another DD, and this time not for a painting but for one of my Temari balls! :D
I'm tickled pink, of course, and will answer questions by and by, but to thank over 600 people individually for favs is quite beyond me, I'm afraid. For now, my thanks and deep appreciation to all of you for faving, for Llamas, for putting me on your dev. watches, as well as fo
I'm back
Hi folks,
You've probably given up on me but here I am, finally returned from my summer in France.
I had a wonderful time! Spring had come very late this year and on arrival I was greeted by a lot of lovely spring flowers still in bloom: Lilacs, poppies (the garden variety), rhododendrons and the most gorgeous irises all over the place. This is all stuff I don't get to see normally because it's long gone by the time I get there. I was totally thrilled and kept dashing around the neighborhood with camera and sketchbook!

There was the usual flurry of house guests over the summer, plus two very special ones: :iconkarincharl
Off to greener pastures
Dear friends,
just so you won't wonder what became of me: In a few days, I'll be off on my annual pilgrimage to Europe. The studio is closed until the second half of September.
I wish you all a lovely summer (or winter, as the case may be), be well and remain creative!
